Midlands Vacations — A Website That Turns Visitors into Group Enquiries

We designed and built the website for Midlands Vacations, a UK coach hire and tour operator serving families, churches and community groups. The site showcases their private coach hire, UK day trips and escorted Europe tours, and makes it quick and easy for a group organiser to ask for a quote.

Project Goals

• Present the company as trustworthy and personal, not like a faceless booking agent.
• Show off tours and destinations with rich photography and clear itineraries.
• Get group organisers from first visit to quote request in as few steps as possible.
• Rank well in search and load fast on mobile, where most visitors browse.

Approach & Design

We created a warm, premium look in navy and gold to match the brand's tagline, Journeys That Stay With You. The home page opens with a full-width coach video and a quick quote bar, followed by the key reasons groups book with them — vetted drivers, coaches from 18 to 98 seats, free local pickups and a same-day written quote.

• The Route Line – Popular destinations are shown as a coach route, with stops along a dashed gold track and a photo card for each tour.
• Tours by Category – UK day trips, multi-day breaks and Europe tours, each with its own page covering the itinerary, gallery and what's included.
• Services Overview – Private coach hire, day trips, Europe tours and airport transfers explained clearly for organisers.
• Mobile First – Designed for phones first, with a sticky enquiry bar on tour pages and a one-tap WhatsApp button on every page.

Key Features

• Quick Quote Bar – Visitors pick a destination, group size and travel dates right on the home page, and the enquiry form opens already filled in.
• Smart Enquiry Form – Validation in the browser and on the server, and enquiries go straight to the owner's inbox. Each one gets a reference number, and a reply goes straight back to the customer.
• Deep Links from Every Tour – "Enquire about this tour" buttons carry the tour through to the form, so the organiser never has to re-type what they were looking at.
• Spam Protection – Rate limiting keeps the enquiry form free of abuse.
• Easy to Grow – Adding a tour is a single data entry. The tour page, listings, sitemap and enquiry dropdown all update automatically, and the site is ready for online booking and a CMS when the business needs them.
