A Two-Sided Marketplace for Property Maintenance

We are building a complete, white-label digital platform for property maintenance builders and agencies. Customers report a job from their phone, the business prices it, nearby tradespeople claim it, and payment flows automatically once the customer signs off the finished work — with commission, materials and tax handled by the platform. Each business gets the apps and portal under its own name, logo and colours.

The Challenge

Property maintenance runs on phone calls, WhatsApp photos and spreadsheets. Quotes are typed by hand, jobs are handed out by whoever answers first, and working out what each tradesperson is owed — after commission, materials and CIS deductions — is slow and error-prone. Builders and agencies need one system that takes a job from first report to final payout without anything falling through the cracks.

What We Are Building

  • Customer App (iOS & Android) – Customers pick the type of job, answer a few tailored questions, add photos and their address, and submit. Drafts are saved so they can come back later. They receive a quote, accept it, and approve the work once it is done.
  • Tradesperson App (iOS & Android) – Workers see jobs offered near them, claim the ones they want, and manage their work from acceptance through to completion.
  • Admin Portal (Web) – Your team reviews incoming jobs, issues quotes, assigns work, and keeps full visibility of every job, payment and payout.

Key Features

  • Smart Job Intake – Each job type has its own question form, managed by the business, so every request arrives with the details needed to price it.
  • Automated Quoting – Customer price and worker payout are calculated from the business's rate cards, labour and materials. Admins can override a figure, with the reason recorded in an audit trail.
  • Location-Based Dispatch – Jobs are offered to nearby tradespeople first, then widen by distance and time, with higher-rated workers seeing jobs sooner.
  • Fair, First-Come Claiming – When two workers go for the same job at once, exactly one gets it and the other is told cleanly that it has been taken.
  • Pay on Completion – The customer's card is saved when they accept a quote, but no money moves until they sign off the finished work. Payouts then go straight to the tradesperson's account through Stripe Connect.
  • Business Rules You Control – Commission, materials markup, CIS deductions and dispatch radii are editable by admins. Every job stays tied to the rules it was quoted under, so a price change never rewrites an old job.
  • Role-Based Privacy – Customers see their price, workers see their payout, and only the business sees its margin.

Your Brand, Our Engine

The platform is built to be white-labelled. Each builder or agency runs it under their own brand, with their own services, rate cards, commission and dispatch rules — no custom development needed to get started.

Built for Accuracy

Money is where marketplaces go wrong, so the platform treats it with care. Every amount is calculated server-side and reconciles to the penny, every payment and payout is written to an immutable ledger, and payments are only confirmed by Stripe's signed notifications — never by the app's say-so. The pricing, payment and dispatch logic is backed by automated tests running against a real database.

Technology

  • Backend: ASP.NET Core 10 Web API, Entity Framework Core, Azure SQL
  • Mobile: React Native with Expo for the customer and tradesperson apps
  • Admin: Next.js web portal
  • Cloud: Microsoft Azure — Container Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage
  • Payments & Maps: Stripe Connect, Google Maps Platform

Where It Stands

The platform is in active development. Job intake, quoting, dispatch, card setup and sign-off payments are built across the API and all three apps, with the remaining pieces being completed ahead of launch.
